Concept & Value Proposition

The original concept was born after several financial scandals of China’s nonprofit organizations. Many people in China lost their trust to the nonprofits and became unwilling to donate their money.

Therefore, My friends and I from different backgrounds hoped to create an innovative, fun and trustworthy platform to help the nonprofits.

#Our Company#

The idea of Fantaspic Platform was born after a brainstorming during a casual dinner at Providence, RI. Later, our company was registered as “华夏益心科技有限公司“ in Shenzhen, China.

Business participates in public welfare in order to establish a positive social image. There are mainly two ways for the business to take its responsibility for welfare. First, by direction donation. Second, via social responsibility department. Severing as the major component of social contributions, business donation takes as much as 58% of the total donation.

By the end of 2013, there are 4,359 foundations in Mainland China, 1,498 public-raising ones and 2,861 private ones, with respectively. However, it is worth mentioning that the total asset of public-raising one is much larger than that of the private ones. The donation from public-raising ones occupies about 72% of the total.

There are around one million non-governmental nonprofits in Mainland China,

but the number of sustained influential organizations is only around two thousand. The sources of funds for non-governmental nonprofits in China are relatively scattered. It is very difficult for the non-governmental nonprofits to obtain funding support.

#Pain Points#

  • Limited resource finding the good targets

  • The extra money spent on media coverage

  • Negative comments, lost of public trust

  • A large number of non-public expenses

  • Limit funding support

  • Lack of social attention

  • Lack of brand value

  • Limit social media interactions

#Pathway of the public welfare on the internet#

Group 2.png
  • As early as 2007. Most large-scale foundations and well-known non-profit organizations in China had their platforms. However, the lack of sensitometry and social attraction led to the fact that the Internet did not play a significant role in public welfare.

  • After large-scale public service platforms such as Sina, Tencent and Ali established their own non-profit platform, many non-profit organizations started to expose with social media. The role of the Internet has finally come into play.
